Political Ads #1
Then, here. Take a look at this picture in ads. Anwar is using a propaganda method claiming that he "loves" Sabah. For me, we need more than just propaganda or the idea that someone loves the place, or yeah. Sabah needs the assertion of autonomy and the restoration of justice, dignity, rights, and decentralisation. Not the old school, ancient political party loyalty (basically I call it coercive tribal mentality). Not blaming the victims of the broken system. Shafie Apdal said certain groups of people are poor because those people have healthy diversity in political beliefs and alignments. I'm tired of this Malaysian politics with scare tactics, guilt-tripping, propaganda-oriented approaches, greed for power instead of solving the real problems. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that politics in Malaysia also include discrimination based on ethnicity and religious identity, as well as propaganda promoting ethnic and/or religious supremacism.
Edit: Quick reminders
"But here is where the political spin becomes harmful: The politician does not focus on systemic failures; he blames the victims."
"Having different political choices is not being "divided"—it is the definition of a healthy, functioning democracy."
